About Jenna Hopkins, OTR/L

I'm an occupational therapist with a focus on Long COVID and chronic illness-related conditions such as POTS, dysautonomia, and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Since 2016, I’ve worked in at University Health Truman Medical Center, and since 2021, I’ve been the primary OT at the Center for COVID Recovery—the only one still operating in the region.

I help clients manage energy, cognitive changes, pain, and the day-to-day impacts of complex, often misunderstood conditions. My approach is grounded, collaborative, and rooted in evidence—but just as importantly, it’s adaptable to real life.

In addition to my clinical work, I’m involved in national conversations around Long COVID care. I serve as a co-moderator for the AOTA’s Long COVID Community of Practice and have presented on rehabilitation strategies at both AOTA and KOTA conferences. I’m also part of the Long COVID Physio international team and run a local support group, Long COVID KC.

Whether you're newly diagnosed or years into navigating chronic illness, I’m here to help you build a toolkit that supports your goals—on your terms.

Why This Work Matters

Living with Long COVID, POTS, dysautonomia, or Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome isn’t just about managing symptoms—it’s about navigating life in a body that doesn’t always cooperate, in a world that often doesn’t understand.

Many of the clients I work with have already seen multiple providers, been told “everything looks fine,” or walked away with advice that doesn’t reflect the reality of their daily lives.

That’s where occupational therapy can make a difference.
